The year started off with a shoot in London: the BIBENDUM EC1 POP-UP TASTING 2011. Rather than doing a repeat of 2010 I decided it would be a lot more fun to turn my buddy MISTER EC, who has little to no knowledge of wine by the way, into a WINE SNOB… in 10 mintues time.

I never made a big secret about the fact I’m not a fan of wine snobs and snobbism in wine. It is after all the, the reason I decided to get my sommelier accreditation and launch WINE ON THE ROCKS: learn the rules in order to break them!

But as life would have it, parody often times makes good comedy and playing a wine snob just for the hell of it was actually quite fun. Now if only I had a recorder or hidden cam for all the REAL wine snob comments I picked up through the whole event. I guess there’s always 2012!
