Conceptual Artist, Vocalist & Lyricist (Yello), Producer, Director, Writer, Filmmaker and not to mention, Organic Wine Producer and Rancher in Mendoza, ARG… when it comes to the true definition of creative all-rounder and Man of the World, Dieter Meier’s image would be the accompanying photograph.

If you’re not already familiar with Dieter Meier, you are surely familiar with one of his largest international hits “Oh Yeah” which was part of the ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ OST.

Dieter Meier planted his first vines in Mendoza (Agrelo Alto) back in 2002 and boasts 60 hectares (approx. 150 acres) of cultivated organic vines which he can call his own with just as much planned in the next years. To top it all of, he’s also a cattle rancher and produces premium organic beef.

I visited Dieter at his Restaurant ‘Bärengasse’ in Downtown Zurich, discussed and enjoyed his fine organic wines but also had the privilege of brazing a premium hunk of organic beef with the man personally.
